Stan Olthuis, a visual artist in Toronto, Canada, on set for a little short I was shooting. Good soul.
Tom Brennan. I met him on set of Mister Tachyon in 2017. He's an advocate for psilocybin micro-dosing to relieve anxiety.
Joe (bottom), is a musician, photographer, coffee enthusiast, and budding videographer... as well as my airbnb host for one night in Portland during summer of 2016.

Liviu Babitz. Another cyborg. He has the North Sense implant which vibrates whenever the front of his body is angled towards magnetic north.
(bottom) Mister Tachyon in a church in southern Netherlands.
Adia Victoria (top three). Taken from her 100th show at The East Room, in Nashville, TN, US. One of the main reasons I was excited to move to Nashville was to discover incredible talent like her. I got see her and her band a number of times from 2014-2016. She's made me think a lot about my role as an artist, and what my voice can say and do. I think she's made me a more thoughtful creator.
The next are Adia Victoria's bandmates Mason Hickman on guitar, Alex Caress on keys, and Tiffany Minton on drums.
Valerie June (bottom) playing The Great Hall in Toronto, Ontraio. Her voice is what I would imagine sparkled confetti would sound like blowing around on stage.
Giles Coren (top) food critic for The Times (UK) and host of Million Dollar Critic (BBC America & W). Travel food shows have got to be one of my favourite genres to shoot. It was a wonderful couple traveling with this gent. I took this shot in between a long day of interviews for the show.
Dave Wilson (middle) star of Masters of Filp (HGTV US & W) in Nashville, TN, US. Fun guy, great Dad. This was a promo still I shot for season one. I sometimes love being able to shoot the show and do some of the stills.
Key Grip (bottom). On set in Toronto, Canada. I hope one day someone reminds me of his name.
A selection of interviews from Vice's Mister Tachyon.
Paul Stametz (top), Mycologist. In the woods of Washington State, USA.
Mister Tachyon in the woods of Washington State, USA.
Daan Roosegarde, Artist and Innovator. Rotterdam, Netherlands. He's the kind of guy that gives me hope for the future. He's figured out a way to turn pollution into diamonds, he's put air scrubbers in bikes, and is looking at ways to light cities with bioluminescence.
Heather Barnett (bottom), Artist. She has some incredible things to say regarding slim mould and animal behaviour.

Tumelo (Top) from South Africa. I met him while shooting the CBC documentary, Pure Intentions. Born with HIV, raised by his grandmother, his greatest goal was to become a lawyer to help his community. I like to think we were able to make the last couple of years a little better. He serves as constant reminder to cherish what I have and to push harder.
The love my life, Kristan, my wife. No matter what kind of day I have, it's always a good day when I get to come home to her. A daily reminder to be kinder and to work harder for our future family. This was shot on the beach in Whitby, UK, on a cold beautiful winter day.
Dr. Rupert Sheldrake, Strait of Gorgia, British Columbia, Canada. Shot for Vice's Mister Tachyon.
Jeff, the landscaper (bottom). Always a bundle of joy and positivity. On set of Masters of Flip in Nashville, TN, US.

Charles Bradley, 67, and his band of Extraordinaries playing at the Exit/In, Nashville, TN. This guy will blow you away. (top)
Thelma and the Sleaze(fourth), opened for Charles that night. Good old dirty rock 'n roll. Pretty sure over half their songs were about fucking. A year later TATS playing a Redbull gig at the same venue (bottom).

A large part of 2016 was putting myself in situations that were outside of my comfort zone. Thankfully, moonlighting as a concert photographer it's pretty easy to accomplish that.
(top two) The South African Rap-rave band, Die Antwoord, performing at Marathon Music Works, Nashville, TN. You either love them or you don't. I happen to love them.
Next is Guitar Wolf, a punk rock band from Japan, playing at the Exit/In, Nashville, TN. No idea what they sounded like, because it was so loud, but it was one heck of a fun show.
(Bottom) Birdcloud at the Exit/In, Nashville, TN. Didn't know much about them, except that they were notorious for putting on a fun show. I happen to be there while they were sound checking, because I was shooting Wheeler Walk, jr., getting his name on the famous Exit/In wall. I noticed that one of the lady's had something in her jean shorts. Turns out it was a harmonica.
